AVID is a program targeting students with academic potential who would benefit from additional support to improve their academic record and begin college preparation.  AVID is first offered as an elective class in grade 6 and may be continued through grade 12.  A selection process is used to determine eligibility and interviews are required to determine selection for the program.  For more information on the program aspects of AVID visit www.avid.org. Anderson School District Five is proud to have six AVID sites, including a national demonstration site at Robert Anderson Middle School, and a second year implementation site at Glenview Middle School.
