Anderson School District Five will begin the online screening process for PreK3 and PreK4 for the 2025-2026 academic year on December 1, 2024. The screening process will be conducted online through the Screening Appointment Portal. The Online Screening Appointment Portal will OPEN on December 1, 2024 and will CLOSE on January 31, 2025. It is imperative that this online process is completed in order to be considered for an appointment to complete the application process.

Screening Process
Three-Year-Old Preschool: Our PreK3 program is available for income-eligible students who are three-years-old on or before September 1, 2025. PreK3 classes are held at West Market School of Early Education. A child may be considered for the PreK3 program on the basis of one of the following criteria: 1) Income-eligibility OR 2) School Readiness - DIAL- 4 Assessment (ONLY if vacancies exist).
Four-Year-Old Preschool: Our PreK4 program is available to ALL students who are four-years-old on or before September 1, 2025. A child’s admittance into the PreK4 program is non-discriminatory. A child may be considered for the PreK4 program on the basis of one of the following criteria: 1) Income-eligibility, 2) School Readiness – DIAL 4 Assessment (ONLY if vacancies exist), OR 3) Tuition (ONLY if vacancies exist). Please recognize that priority enrollment for all seats in the PreK4 Program will go to income-eligible students. All elementary schools in Anderson School District Five offer PreK4 programs, with the exception of Varennes Elementary.
The first step to be considered for either program (PreK3 AND PreK4) is to request a screening appointment via the online Screening Appointment Portal. The portal will open on December 1, 2024 and will close on January 31, 2025.

Submitting a screening appointment request does NOT guarantee a child’s enrollment into the program. In the event the number of income-eligible children exceeds the spaces available, pupils will be placed on a waiting list.
