Robotics Made Possible by Local Business Champions

Meeting Bob Mimlitch — The North Pointe team got to meet Bob Mimlitch, Co-founder of VEX

With a grant from the Bosch Community Fund which funded the VEX IQ Robotics program in our schools, six Anderson Five schools and numerous other local schools' teams, participated in the AIT Robotics Tournament sponsored by Carolina Handling.

Of those six, McCants Middle School and North Pointe Elementary School qualified for the VEX Robotics World Championship held in Dallas, Texas. With yet another grant from Palmetto Partners for Science and Technology to help both schools with travel costs to Texas, Anderson Five was well represented. Our sincerest thanks to these local businesses for championing the VEX robotics program in Anderson Five. Congratulations to all the coaches and volunteers who brought the students so far in robotics talent and made this year one for the memory books!
