Cynthia Wray

I am a licensed counselor and my passion is working with children to help them achieve their goals and reach their full potential.  I am a grandmother to 3 delightful, though sometimes mischievous, young children, with one more on the way.  During my downtime, I enjoy working in my garden, reading books and needle felting, which is a method of crafting pictures and sculptures with wool.

Renee Potter

Hi, my name is Renee Potter.  I am a licensed mental health counselor for the State of South Carolina. I also have my counselor supervisor license in South Carolina.    I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bowling Green University in Ohio and my master’s and post master’s degrees in Clinical Counseling at the University of Dayton in Ohio.
I have been a school-based mental health counselor in various school districts for the past 27 years in both Ohio and South Carolina and I also helped create a school-based mental health program with a grant back in 1999.   I started working with the Anderson School District Five’s school based mental health program in January of 2023.
I currently serve the students at Southwood Middle School of the Arts, Calhoun Elementary School of the Arts, Homeland Park Primary School and New Prospect Elementary. I work closely with the school counselors and referrals for my services come from the school counselor.  I help students cope with changes, struggles with thoughts and feelings, learn positive coping skills, grief, and other similar issues.   After the parent/guardian meets for first session with me to sign consents and discuss concerns, I will work with the students using games, puppets, art and other expressive therapies to help address the concerns.  Our program is a short-term counseling services.
I have lived in Anderson for the past 25 years with my husband and 2 grown children, and 2 dogs.  I love to go on hikes, travel and spend time with my family.
