Cindy Burriss is an Anderson County native. A product of Anderson Five schools, she is a 1979 T.L. Hanna High School alumni. Cindy received her LPN in 2009 from Tri-County Technical College, and earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Greenville Technical College in 2015. Cindy spent 12 years as a nurse in long-term and hospice care. She continues to foster her passion for health and wellness as the primary caregiver of her elderly father, which she considers a great pleasure and honor. Cindy is also a small business owner.
Cindy is a Christian and Patriot who loves her community and country. She is a member at Concord Community Church, and is active in many civic organizations including the Anderson County Republican Party, Moms for Liberty Anderson Chapter, the Mom and Pop Alliance of SC, and the Good News Club. Ms. Burriss follows in her father, Dr. Mack Burriss’, footsteps as an Anderson Five School Board Trustee. Dr. Burriss served on the Anderson Five Board for over 30 years; several of which he served as Chairman.
Cindy is a proud mother of three daughters, and proud grandmother of six grandchildren.

As a mother myself, it is my desire to be a voice for parents and ensure our children have the resources they need to sustain future generations.
