Emergency Management

Anderson Five Emergency Management of Operations

Emergency Management of Operations is responsible for the school district's Emergency Operations Plan (EOP). The EOP is designed to protect the district and community by coordinating and integrating plans necessary to build, sustain and improve our safety. We strive to diminish the capability, prepare for, respond to, and recover from threats, natural disasters or terrorism.
There are five universal procedures and appropriate strategy in case of emergency:

  • HOLD
  • SECURE
  • LOCKDOWN
  • EVACUATE
  • SHELTER

It important to understand that each of these five response protocols DO NOT mean the same thing, and there is no specific order in which these protocols are "called." Please see the below graphic for additional explanation on what each of these protocols mean.
