Dollar General Supports Early Readers in Two A5 Schools

What can be more exciting than learning to read? Suddenly, mysterious signs make sense and there are actual descriptions for the pictures in all the books in the school library. What a great feeling to be able to do it all by yourself!

Thanks to two Dollar General Literacy Foundation grants, students in Homeland Park Primary School and Varennes Elementary School can share their love of learning to read with their younger brothers and sisters at home. These grants support not just books and prize incentives for our school-age learners, but also the enrollments of students' younger siblings into the Dolly Parton Imagination Library so they can be mailed books directly to their homes.

Thank you, DGLF, for supporting these young children as they discover the exciting world of words and become independent readers!
